I've been taking the monthly unlimited group classes the past few months and Jenny is wonderful! I've seen positive changes with my body with better flexibility, toned muscles, and stamina thanks to her classes. Love the scheduling flexibility on their app with am/pm classes to choose from Mon-Sat. The studio is always organized and clean, plus free parking 👌

What is Pilates

Pilates is a type of mind-body exercise developed in the early 20th century by German physical trainer Joseph Pilates, after whom it was named. Pilates called his method "Contrology". It is practiced worldwide, especially in Western countries such as Australia, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Pilates developed in the aftermath of the late 19th century physical culture of exercising in order to alleviate ill health. There is however only limited

evidence to support the use of Pilates to alleviate problems such as lower back pain. Evidence from studies show that while Pilates improves balance, it has not been shown to be an effective treatment for any medical condition other than evidence that regular Pilates sessions can help muscle conditioning in healthy adults, when compared to doing no exercise.

Pilates Equipment

  • Mat

  • Magic Circle or Pilates Ring.

  • Pilates Band or Resistance Bands.

  • Pilates Reformer.

  • Spine Corrector

  • Cadillac or Trapeze Table.

  • Pilates Chair.

  • Ladder Barrel or Barrel.

  • Foam Roller.

Neutral spine alignment is everything.

“If your spine is stiff at 30,” he once said, you are old.

If it is flexible at 60, you are young.” Pilates develops the deep muscles of the back and abdomen to support your spine,

and focuses on breathing to promote better posture
